At this time the national market of fresh food was dispersed, fragmented and disorganized, thus creating a bottleneck in the production chain, and therefore in thecommercialization. Thus, by means of government insertions,it was tried to organize a national system of supply, giving birth to the Ceasas in Brazil.In this context emerged CeasaMinas, being currently one of the most efficient institutions managing agrifood supply, among the 41 Brazilian wholesalers' enterprises.It is controlled by the federal government through the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. The activity began in 1974 and is currently considered the most diverse distribution center of fruits and vegetables in Brazil, controlling six warehouses wholesalers in the state of Minas Gerais, which results in an urbanized area of 1.37 million square meters for the wholesale market.
